This week's event was centered around rye whiskey. Created in Pennsylvania, rye whiskey must be made from a mash bill of at least 51% rye grain. Rye Whiskey was used historically not only as a beverage and social lubricant, but also during colonial times as currency for barter and a way to preserve harvested grains.
Even today, in these Whiskey Rebellion parts, Rye Whiskey is still as good as gold.
